The Temecula Valley Master Chorale was created to provide a repertory of choral music which seeks to nurture the public’s appreciation of the life-enhancing qualities of the choral arts. Our mission is to provide local performances which will enrich the educational and cultural life of the community, to help and encourage young artists to expand their musical experience, and to demonstrate a professional attitude while performing quality musical literature.

The Temecula Valley Master Chorale was organized in 2000 and provides residents of the Temecula Valley with a full repertoire of choral music. With more than 60 members, the Chorale has performed throughout Southern California  and took their music to Italy in 2005. In September, 2006 the Temecula Valley Master Chorale welcomed back their founder, John Byun. Mr. Byun received his Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of California, Irvine and his Masters in Choral Conducting from California State University, Long Beach.  He is currently the director of the Chamber Singers, Women's Ensemble, and Men's Ensemble at  Riverside Community College. Before coming to RCC, he was the director of Vocal Music at Murrieta Valley High School for ten years.  The Chamber Singers of   MVHS during that time was selected to perform at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Western Regional Conference in 2004.

Mr. Byun is one of the co-directors of Arrowbear Music Camp. He has sung with the Orange County Pacific Chorale, as one of the bass contract singers, and has worked with Opera Pacific Chorus and Long Beach Opera Chorus. He has also served on the Southern California Vocal Association Board as the Vice President of Festivals. John spends his "free" time with his wife Mary, son Mikail, and daughter Jade.
