Artistic Director

Zachary Krug

Zachary Krug is honored to serve as Artistic Director of the Temecula Valley Master Chorale. A dedicated conductor, educator, and musician, Zach brings a passion for artistic excellence and community engagement to every aspect of his work.

For more than a decade, Zach has served as a music educator and conductor throughout Southern California. He has taught both choral and instrumental music at Birmingham Community Charter High School, Dorothy McElhinney Middle School, and Vista Murrieta High School, where his ensembles earned consistent superior ratings and invitations to perform across California and beyond.

Zach's experience extends beyond the classroom. He previously served as Assistant Director of the Inland Master Chorale, working alongside Dr. Joseph Modica for three seasons. During that time, he regularly conducted rehearsals and performances, performed as a soloist, and helped guide the organization's artistic programming and operations.

In addition to his role with TVMC, Zach serves as Music Director and Worship Leader at Grace Presbyterian Church in Temecula, teaches music as an adjunct faculty member at Mt. San Jacinto College, and is the founder and conductor of the Temecula Valley Christian Chorus.

Zach holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Music in Vocal Chamber Music from the University of Redlands. He is an active member of several professional music organizations, including the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), California Choral Directors Association (CCDA), Southern California Vocal Association (SCVA), and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).

When he is not conducting or teaching, Zach enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on the San Diego Padres, and exploring new opportunities for learning and growth. He lives in Menifee with his wife, Adrianna, their sons, Parker and Charlie, and their golden retriever, Lucy.

Pianist

Luann Carman

Luann Carman has enjoyed a distinguished career as a pianist, educator, author, and accompanist for more than four decades. Holding both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Arts in Piano Performance, she has dedicated her life to musical excellence and the support of singers and instrumentalists alike.

After studying commercial music with renowned pianist Helene Mirich, Luann established herself as a freelance pianist in the Los Angeles area, performing with a wide range of vocalists, ensembles, and instrumentalists. Her expertise has led to faculty appointments at several respected institutions, including California State University, Fullerton, the University of California, Santa Barbara, and California Lutheran University.

A published author, Luann has written piano method books for Warner Brothers and Hal Leonard and continues to contribute to music education through both teaching and writing. Today, she maintains a private piano studio in the Temecula Valley while serving as accompanist for several prominent ensembles, including the Southwest Women's Choir, Great Oak High School Choirs, Grace Presbyterian Church, and the Temecula Valley Master Chorale.

Throughout her career, Luann has been a sought-after collaborative pianist. Her extensive experience includes performing under the direction of renowned choral conductor Frank Pooler and accompanying award-winning musicians in competitions and performances throughout Southern California.

When she is not at the piano, Luann enjoys exploring the Temecula Valley by bicycle and spending time in the community she proudly calls home.

Assistant Director

Rachel Arnold

Rachel Arnold has been a valued member of the Temecula Valley Master Chorale since 2019 and is honored to serve as Assistant Director. A lifelong musician, Rachel brings a passion for choral music and a wealth of experience as a vocalist, pianist, flutist, and conductor.

Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Music from Brigham Young University, where she performed with the University Chorale for three years and served as accompanist for the Welsh Choir. Her background in both music and education reflects her dedication to musical excellence and lifelong learning.

Within the Temecula Valley Master Chorale, Rachel has served as Soprano Section Leader and has been featured as a soloist in numerous major choral works, including Fauré's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria, Mozart's Coronation Mass, Handel's Messiah, and Mozart's Requiem. She also has extensive experience directing church choirs for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

As Assistant Director, Rachel is passionate about supporting the Chorale's artistic mission, encouraging singers to grow in confidence and musicianship, and helping create inspiring musical experiences for both performers and audiences alike.

Governing Board

The Temecula Valley Master Chorale is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors whose volunteer leadership helps advance our mission of preserving and promoting the choral arts. Working alongside our Artistic Director, the Board provides strategic direction, organizational oversight, and support for the Chorale's performances, educational programs, and community outreach efforts.

Board members generously contribute their time, talents, and passion for the arts to ensure that TVMC continues to inspire audiences, support young musicians, and enrich the cultural life of the Temecula Valley.
